Online exemption test from Compulsory Computer Training (CCT) of ICSI

Sole Testing Authority, Students Registered with M/s Aptech Ltd, Online tests during weekends, No Delay in certificate and How to Apply etc.

From 19th November, 2011, registration for Online exemption test from Compulsory Computer Training (CCT) for students of ICSI will be started by M/s Sify Software Ltd.

ICSI has announced that they recently signed an agreement with M/s Sify Software Limited and as per the revised arrangement the online test for compulsory computer training of the students, which is being presently conducted by M/s Aptech Ltd. will be henceforth conducted by M/s Sify Software Ltd.

Sole Testing Authority :


With effect from 1st of February 2012 M/s Sify Software Ltd will be the sole testing authority for ICSI.

Students Registered with M/s Aptech Ltd:



The system of online test of M/s Aptech will be however discontinued after 31st January, 2012. Those students who have already registered with M/s Aptech Ltd for the online test are therefore advised to complete their test with M/s Aptech.Ltd at the earliest.


No Delay in certificate:


Students can appear for online test and will be able to download their certificates after 15 days of passing of online test. This will ensure that there is no delay in receiving the certificate after clearing the online test.

Online tests during weekends:



Initially M/s Sify Software Ltd. shall be conducting online tests during weekends on Saturdays and at a later period they will extend the benefit in other days also.

Payment for the online test:


Payment for the online test can be done both in online or offline mode (through branches of SBI using Powerjyoti scheme).

Not visit the Sify Test Centres:


Students are advised not to visit the Sify Test Centres directly without registering themselves with the Sify Online Registration Portal for allotment of centre.

How to Apply:


Students are required to apply online through http://icsi.sifyitest.com/ website. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.

A valid Personal e-mail ID:



A valid Personal e-mail ID otherwise, create a new e-mail ID before applying online). It should be kept active till the completion of the exam / certification process. This email-id will be used for communication by the testing and certification agency.
Students should not:
- Share their email-id to any other person
- Mention e-mail ID of any other person

Online Registration:


Fill in the details from the Fee Payment Challan in the Online Application Form at the appropriate places. If you have paid using debit/credit card, fill in the requested details appropriately in the Online Application Form. After applying Online, retain the print out of application form for further reference.

Printout/ fee Payment Receipt:


Do not send the printout/ fee payment receipt to the Testing and Certification Agency.

Validity of fees paid


Validity period for the fees paid is 30 days from the date of payment realization or 1 + 1 attempt whichever is earlier.

Payment of Fees:



Students can make Payments through online or offline by downloading the Fee Payment Challan from the site http://icsi.sifyitest.com

A) Online Mode of Payment:



Fees payable online - Examination Charges Rs.440/- + bank charges as applicable.
i) Debit / Credit card powered by Master or Visa.
ii) Internet Banking.
Online mode of payment will allow students to select the exam centre and the date for the exam immediately. Students are now ready to Apply Online by re-visiting the web site and by clicking the Registration link to register for the exam.

B) Offline Mode of Payment:
Fees payable offline - Examination Charges Rs.440/-
Bank Charges Rs.50/-
Total Rs.490/-

i) Download the Fee Payment challan and fill in the same (in BLOCK LETTERS).
ii) Go to the nearest branch of State Bank of India and pay the fees using the following details
Bank : State Bank of India
Mode of Payment: Cash
Account & Branch: CBS. A/c No: 31737604121. Tidel Park Branch
Name & style: Sify Software ltd (ICSI)

NOTE: Payment of Application Fee through Demand Draft/ Cheques/ Money Orders/ Postal Orders etc. will not be accepted.

iv) Applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.
v) Counterfoil of the fee payment challan:
- Obtain Applicant's Counterfoil Copy of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly stamped by the Bank with:
a) Branch Name & Code Number;
b) Journal/Scroll number; and
c) Date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official.

- Original counterfoil of the fee payment challan will have to be submitted with the admit card at the time of appearing in the online test
- Without counterfoil of the fee payment challan, students will not be allowed to appear for the online test.
viii) Students are advised to keep a photocopy of the fee payment challan for future reference
ix) Students have to wait for their registration to be authorized by Admin
x) Once the admin authorizes, student will be able to login using their user name / password and schedule the exam - select exam center and the date for the exam.
