Now the Board of Studies of ICAI has come with the great facility (Subject Wise Online Self-Assessment Quiz) for the preparation of Common Proficiency Test (CPT) Course which is the entrance Examination to be a Chartered Accountant (CA).
If you are a student of CPT then you may take advantage of this free of cost Quiz to make a self-assessment for your preparation in a timed environment for the forthcoming examination.
One of the best parts of this online quiz is that you will get new quiz every time. There is no restriction for solving all questions and therefore you may quit any time in between by pressing the “SUBMIT ALL” button at the bottom left corner of the opened window.
Moreover, suppose there is a question which is hard to reply or you are not able to recall the answer then you may easily go for the next question and come back again to answer the same whenever you got/recall the answer. Further if you had clicked on the wrong option at the time of answering any question, you may rectify the same at any time during your quiz.
After answering all questions you have to click on finish button and in the open window you will see your scores in points and you can click the “Review Quiz” button for recap of your results i.e. whether the answer was CORRECT or INCORRECT.
However, if you had clicked on SUBMIT ALL not attempted all questions then sometime you see the message as “One or more questions is incomplete please complete all questions to continue”.
There are three formats for Online Self-Assessment Quiz viz. a) Chapter Wise Self-Assessment Quiz; b) Subject Wise Self-Assessment Quiz; and c) All Subjects Online Self-Assessment Quiz.
A) Chapter Wise Self-Assessment Quiz: You can evaluate yourself on chapter wise of any particular subject. That means under the Chapter Wise Self-Assessment Quiz you may opt for any chapter of your subjects and test yourself viz. under the subject Quantitative Aptitude you go for quiz like Equations, Inequalities, Basic Concepts of Permutations and Combinations, Ratio and Proportion, indices and logarithms etc. This Quiz consists of 12 questions to be answered 15 minutes. Therefore, you have to complete 4 questions within 5 minutes to attempt all questions in time. The passing requirement is 50% i.e. you should have to answer at least 6 questions correctly for success in this Quiz.
B) Subject Wise Self-Assessment Quiz: As the name depicts, this Quiz is for self-assessment of your preparation of each of the subjects namely Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. You will be asked to answer only 25 questions and you should have to complete the same in 30 minutes. Thus, you will get 6 minutes to complete 5 questions. The passing criteria is 50% for subject wise Quiz.
C) All Subjects Online Self-Assessment Quiz: In this Quiz you will be asked to answer only 50 questions in place of 200 questions and accordingly the time has also been reduced to 1 hour instead of 4 hours examinations. That means you will get more than a minute to solve one question and therefore, you may target to solve 25 questions in half an hour to attempt all questions in time. The passing requirement is as usual 50% i.e. you must complete at least 25 questions correctly.
