The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has clarified on 13th May, 2013 that due to unavoidable circumstances the examination of Group –II, Paper- 7 – Information Technology and Strategic Management of Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination scheduled on 15th May-2013 stands postponed.
Earlier to this announcement, the CA Institute had on 18th April, 2013 announced that the venue of the May 2013 CA Intermediate (IPC) and CA Final Examination in some centres at Bangalore, Jaipur and Sikar (Rajasthan)r has been changed.

In other words, ICAI has cancelled the CA IPC exam of GP-II, Paper-7, ITSM scheduled to be held on 15th may, 2013.
Accordingly, the said examination for the candidates will now be held on 24th May, 2013 (Friday) from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
Note that the venue of the said examination will remain unchanged except for some candidates in Kolkata, Udaipur and Vijayawada. Admit Card already issued would remain valid for the examination on 24th May 2013.

Earlier to this announcement, the CA Institute had on 18th April, 2013 announced that the venue of the May 2013 CA Intermediate (IPC) and CA Final Examination in some centres at Bangalore, Jaipur and Sikar (Rajasthan)r has been changed.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has clarified on 16th April, 2013 that there is no change in the schedule of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination, to be held on 5th May, 2013 from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM (IST) irrespective of the Bye Elections to Ward 43 Nangloi East and Ward 256 Yamuna Vihar of North Delhi and East Delhi Municipal Corporations of Delhi on 5th May 2013.
You may note that ICAI has postponed the CA Exam dates for CA Final as well as CA IPC examinations scheduled to be held on 4th and 5th May, 2013 vide notification No.13-CA(Exam)/M/2013/II dated 25th March, 2013 owing to the Election to the Karnataka State Legislative Assembly.
Accordingly, Group – 1, Paper 2, Strategic Financial Management (SFM) of Final Examination and Group – 1, Paper – 2, Business Laws, Ethics and Communications (BLEC) of Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination scheduled to be held on 4th and 5th May, 2013 at Bangalore, Belgaum, Bellary, Hubli, Mangalore, Mysore and Udupi centre(s) stand postponed and the examination in the said paper(s) shall now be held at on 18th May and 17th May 2013 respectively at the same venue and at the same timings i.e. 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
Note that the Admit Cards already issued would remain valid for the changed schedule of CA examinations.
The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has notified that the next CA Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence), CA Final examinations and Post Qualification Course viz. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) examinations of the institute will be held from 2nd May, 2013 to 16th May, 2013 in 141 examination centres (Cities in India) and 4 overseas Centres.
Only candidates of CA Intermediate (IPC) and Final Exams will be allowed to choose Hindi medium for answering papers. Detailed information will be found printed in the notes for information and guidance of applicants attached to the relevant application form.
However the medium of Examinations will be only English in respect of IRM Examinations.

NOTE: Candidates of CA IPC and Final Examinations opting for Dubai / Abu Dhabi / Muscat Centre are required to remit US$ 350 and US$ 400 respectively or its equivalent Indian Currency (Rs.) irrespective of whether a candidate appears in a group or in both the groups or in a unit .
Payment of fees for the examinations should be made by Demand Draft only. The Demand Drafts may be of any Scheduled Bank and should be drawn in favour of The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi only.

The candidates (IPC/Final) may made applications for admission to these examinations free of cost at www.icaiexam.icai.org by remit the examination fee online by using VISA or MASTER Credit/ Debit Card:
- Without late fees: from 6th February, 2013 to 27th February, 2013 [See Note].
- With late fees (Rs. 500): from 28th February 2013 to 6th March 2013.
In order to popularize filling-in of application form online, it has been decided by CA institute to waive off the cost of application form ( Rs. 500/-) in respect of PCC, IPCC Final candidates who fill in their forms online from 6th February, 2013 to 27th February, 2013.

b) With Late Fee: 11th March, 2013.

Students may obtain the physical application forms which are priced at Rs. 500/- each for IPC and Final Candidates. Physical Forms shall also be made available in the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained there from on cash payment on or from 6th February, 2013.

Note that applications together with the prescribed fee by Demand Draft of any Scheduled Bank may be sent so as to reach the Additional Secretary (Examinations) at New Delhi not later than 27th February, 2013.
However, applications will also be received direct by Delhi Office after 27th February, 2013 and up to 6th March, 2013 with late fee of Rs. 500/-. Applications received after 6th March, 2013 shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
Applications for the students’ examinations only duly filled in will also be received by hand delivery at the office of Institute at New Delhi and at the Decentralised Offices of the Institute at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Pune up to 6th March, 2013.
However, application forms duly completed for the Post Qualification Course Examination i.e. Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) will be received only at the New Delhi office of the Institute.
NOTE: With effect from May 2013 examination onwards, the course named as “Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE)”, stands renamed as “Intermediate (IPC) Examination” and would be known accordingly vide ICAI Notification NO XCA(7)/145/2012 dated 1st August 2012.
