How to claim Paper wise Exemption of CS Course Examination

UPDATE: How to claim online paper-wise exemption in CS Inter and Final Exams. In accordance with the Sub-Regulation 3 of Regulation 42 of Company Secretaries Regulations 1982, the council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) shall have the power to decide the individual subject(s)/group(s) of the CS course examination from which a candidate shall be exempted on the basis of prescribed criteria.
Accordingly, there are two option for claiming exemption in any paper of CS Foundation, Executive (Inter) and Professional (Final) examinations.
Either you had secured minimum of 60 per cent marks in that particular subject/s in earlier sessions of CS exams or you have passed such examination of any university or such professional institutes/bodies in India or abroad, as may be recognised by the council of CS Institute from time to time.
A) CS Foundation Programme: You may get exemption from CS foundation examination i.e. direct admission in CS Executive Programme.
B) CS Executive Programme: You will be exempted from the following paper(s) of the Executive Programme examination if you have the qualification(s) specified against each paper, having secured 50% or more marks in the aggregate.
Note that you should have to apply for exemption on or before last date for enrolment for the examination paying requisite exemption fee which at present is Rs. 1,000 per paper.
Paper 2 (Module I) Cost and Management Accounting: M.A. (Corporate Secretaryship)/ M.Com./M.B.A. (with Advanced Accountancy as one of the subjects at B.Com/B.B.A./B.A. (Corporate Secretaryship) level and with full paper in Cost Accounting/Management Accounting/Financial Management at M.A. (Corporate Secretaryship)/M.Com./M.B.A. level having secured 50% marks in the subject concerned) from a recognised University/Institute either constituted under an Act of Parliament or approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/ Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Paper 4 (Module I) Tax Laws and Practice: M.A./M.B.A. (Corporate Secretaryship) from a recognised University/Institute either constituted under an Act of Parliament or approved by AICTE/AIU.
Paper 7 (Module II) Industrial, Labour and General Laws: A Degree in Law (three years or five years integrated) from a recognised University/Institute either constituted under an Act of Parliament or approved by AICTE/AIU.
However, if you have passed the Final examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), shall be exempted from all the three papers as mentioned above of the Executive Programme.
C) CS Professional Programme: Only those candidates who has cleared the Final examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India shall be exempted from the following papers of the Professional Programme examination on making an application in this behalf together with attested copy of the Final Examination Pass Certificate of Institute of Cost Accountants of India:
Paper 1 (Module 1): Advanced Company Law and Practice
Paper 5 (Module 2): Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
Paper 7 (Module 3): Advanced Tax Laws and Practice
