Bank of India (BOI), one of India’s preeminent Public Sector Banks, has officially announced a significant recruitment initiative for highly experienced IT professionals. Under Project No. 2024-25/05, the bank is inviting online applications for Officer positions up to Scale IV, with a specific focus on the pivotal role of Chief Manager – IT. This drive underscores BOI’s commitment to fortifying its technological backbone and accelerating its digital transformation journey.

The Role: Chief Manager – IT (Scale IV)

The Chief Manager position, classified under Scale IV (Specialist/SPL), is a senior-level, leadership role. Successful candidates will be expected to guide strategic technical decision-making, manage large-scale projects, and ensure the resilience, security, and scalability of the bank’s complex IT architecture.   1. IT (Application Maintenance & Admin): Focusing on the continuous operation, lifecycle management, and performance tuning of core banking applications.
  2. IT (Cloud Operations): Driving the strategy, deployment, and management of cloud-based infrastructure to ensure flexibility and cost-efficiency.
  3. IT (Incident Manager): Establishing robust protocols and leading response teams to swiftly mitigate and resolve high-priority IT incidents, minimizing business impact.
  4. IT (Network): Managing, securing, and optimizing the bank’s extensive data network and communication infrastructure across all branches and data centers.
  5. IT (Database Administrator): Ensuring the high availability, integrity, and security of critical database systems that store sensitive financial and customer data.
  6. IT (Infra): Overseeing the core physical and virtual infrastructure, including servers, storage, and operating systems that underpin all banking services.
  7. IT (Digital Payments): Spearheading the development and integration of modern digital payment platforms, including UPI, mobile banking, and other fintech solutions.

An Inclusive Approach: Provisions for Candidates with Disabilities
