ICAI Residential Program 2025: The Board of Studies of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts a Four Weeks Residential Programme on Professional Skills Development for CA Final course students and recently qualified Chartered Accountants.
Why join this Residential Programme?
While not mandatory, this program is highly recommended as it is considered part of Articleship Training and exempts you from the Management and Communication Skills (MCS) component of the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS). It focuses on enhancing crucial soft skills such as communication, interpersonal abilities, teamwork, personal qualities, and leadership proficiency, alongside improving problem-solving talents and overall personality development.

ICAI Residential Program Eligibility
The following candidates are eligible to apply:
- Recently qualified Chartered Accountants.
- CA Final students who have passed the CA Intermediate/ IPCC/ PCC/ PE-II examinations and are currently in the last two years of their articleship or have completed it.
Course Fee: The fee for the Four Weeks Residential Programme is ₹48,000 for both male and female candidates. This includes tuition, course material, boarding, lodging, and local field visits (one). Payment can be made online via Credit Card or Net Banking. You have the option to pay the full fee or register by paying 20% (₹9,600), with the balance due before the course commencement.
Fee Exemption for Top Rank Holders: Top 10 rank holders in the CA Intermediate and CA Final Examinations (effective from November 2010 onwards) are exempt from paying the course fees.
How to Register Online for ICAI Residential Program

During online registration, you will need to provide the following information:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Registration Number
- E-mail Address
- Date of joining Articleship
- Estimated or actual date of completion of Articleship (attach completion certificate if applicable)
- Name and Membership number of the Principal
- Name and Address of the CA Firm
- Details of Marks secured in ICAI examinations
Print and Send Registration Form: After online registration, print the form, scan a copy and email it to ashokdua@icai.in, and send the original copy via speed post/courier to: The Assistant Secretary, Board of Studies, ICAI Bhawan, Plot No.A-29, Sector-62, Noida-201 309.
Important Note: Seats are limited, so early registration is advised. Registration is generally on a first-come-first-served basis, subject to certain criteria.
Selection Criteria: In case of over-response, selection will be based on logical criteria, with preference potentially given to qualified Chartered Accountants. Candidates previously denied admission may also be considered. The Board of Studies’ decision on selection is final. Intimation of selection or non-selection will be sent; no further correspondence will be entertained.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation of confirmed registration within two weeks of the program commencement is not allowed. Cancellations in the second last week and the last week will incur charges of 20% and 30% of the course fees, respectively.
Exemption from Management and Communication Skills (MCS) of AICITSS: Completion of this residential program exempts you from the MCS component of AICITSS.
