CA Foundation Registration Dec 2024: Detail procedure for CA Foundation registration 2024-25. Last date for CA Foundation admission for appearing in Dec 2024 examination is August 01, 2024.

Register yourself on or before 1st August, 2024 for appearing in CA Foundation Dec 2024 examinations. ICAI has listed all documents required at the time of registration in CA Foundation Course.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) offers three different levels of Course viz. Foundation Course, Intermediate Course and Final Course. CA Foundation is an entry-level course to be a Chartered Accountant.

CA Foundation Course Registration Fee 2024

You have to pay only ₹9,000 as registration fee to CA Foundation Course for appearing in CA Foundation Dec 2024 and June 2025 exams. However, if you want to subscribe Students’ Journal then you have to pay extra amount of ₹200 for one year subscription. You may also subscribe to Members’ Journal by paying extra ₹400 as one year subscription fee.

Note that the subscription of Journal is optional and therefore you are not compulsorily required to subscribe the same. However, ICAI has strongly recommend to CA Foundation students for subscription to Students’ Journal for at least one year at the time of registration for foundation course.

NOTE: Candidates from Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, North – East States were given 75% concession in Registration Course Fee for Foundation (Rs 2250) level if they registered between . September 20, 2019 and March 31, 2022. The concession has now been extended from April 1, 2022 till March 31, 2025 and this concession is also applicable for Candidates from Andaman and Nicobar Islands registering from April 1, 2022 till 31st March, 2025.

Wards of deceased members have been given 75% concession in Registration Course Fee for Foundation (Rs 2250) level applicable from April 1, 2022.

CA Foundation Course Admission for Dec 2024 Exam

A candidate has to register for CA Foundation Course by filling Online Registration Form available on ICAI website (www.icai.org) in “Course Registration Forms” under “Students tab”.

Candidates, who would be appearing in Class XII examinations till April, 2024 may note that 1st August, 2024 is the last date for registering in the Foundation Course for appearing in Foundation Examination to be held in Dec, 2024.

New students require to enter personal details like First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Gender, Date of Birth (DOB), Email address, Mobile number, Country Name and Nationality. Thereafter, you create password with combination of special character, capital letters, number, lower case letters, and register yourself after re-confirm password.

Students after registration to the course are required to complete a minimum of 4 months study period from the date of registration in order to be eligible to appear in the Foundation Examination.

Therefore, the last date for CA Foundation registration is:

  • 1st August, 2024 for appearing in Dec 2024 Examination.
  • 1st February 2025 for appearing in May 2025 Examination.

The validity period for registration in the CA Foundation Course is for 4 years from the first eligible attempt in the CA Foundation Exam. Revalidation is not permitted at the Foundation level.

Before appearing in the Foundation Examination, you should also have appeared in Class 12th Examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto.

Question-1: Which documents are required for CA Foundation Registration 2024?
Answer: Documents required for ca foundation registration for Dec 2024 examinations. You should keep scanned copy ready of the following required documents for CA Registration form 2024:

  1. Birth Certificate: Attested copy of the 10th Marksheet or admit card of class 10th indicating the name & date of birth.
  2. 10th Class Mark Sheet: Attested copy of Marksheet or Admit Card of tenth Class issued by the respective Board; Kindly upload “Statement of marks” and “Pass Certificate” (in single file) If the DOB (Date of Birth) is not mentioned on the Mark sheet.
  3. Recent Photo: Your recent color photograph (To be affixed on printout copy of the online CA Foundation registration form);
  4. Nationality Proof: One attested copy of proof of Nationality, if you are not Indian;
  5. Cast Certificate: If you belong to CS/CT/OBC, upload attested copy of proof of special category certificate;

You must upload self-attested scanned copies of your documents else your application will be liable for rejection.

If the student does not possess ORIGINAL Mark Sheet, CA Institute alternatively accept Internet Downloaded Statement of Marks duly Attested by the School Principal (With a STAMP), and / or A Practicing Chartered Accountant bearing his Membership Number and Signature as recorded with the Institute.

Question-2: Do I need to send the form and documents in the physical mode to the Institute office?
Answer: No, you are not required to send the form and documents in the physical mode to the Institute office. You are only required to fill the form online by payment of requisite fees and uploading the desired documents.

Question-3: What is the last date for CA Foundation Registration for Dec 2024 exams?
Answer: ICAI has prescribed the last date for registration in CA Foundation Course for Dec 2024 exams. Therefore, you must register yourself on or before extended last date 01.08.2024 for appearing in CA Foundation Dec 2024 examinations.

Question-4: I am a Class XI student who passed class X recently. Am I eligible to register for the Foundation Course?
Answer: Yes. Students after passing Class 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto, may provisionally register in Foundation Course of ICAI.

Question-5: I am a Class XII student. Am I eligible to register for the Foundation Course?
Answer: Yes. Students after passing Class 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent thereto may provisionally register in Foundation Course of ICAI.

Such students are required to register latest by August 01, 2024 so as to eligible to appear in Dec 2024 Foundation Examination.

Question-6: I am a Class XII student who wish to become CA. When can I register for the Foundation course?
Answer: You can register with the Board of Studies of the Institute on or before 1st day of January or 1st day of July for the examination to be held in the months of May/June or November/December respectively.

In other words, 4 months study period is required before appearing in Foundation Examination.

Question-7: I am a class XII student and if I register for the Foundation course now, will I be able to appear in the Foundation exams being held in Dec 2024?
Answer: Eligibility Criteria for appearing in Foundation Examination is as under:-

  1. Student has to register with the Board of Studies of the Institute on or before 1st day of February or 1st day of August for the examination to be held in the months of June or December respectively. In other words, 4 months study period is required before appearing in Foundation Examination.
  2. Student should have passed in the Secondary (10th Class) Examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government (or the State Government) as equivalent thereto (for the purpose of admission to Class 10+2).

Question-8: I am a Class XII student who will be appearing in class XII exams. in March/April 2024. Suppose, I register and clear Foundation exams of June 2024 but I fail to clear class XII exams, will my Foundation result be valid?
Answer: Your provisional admission to Foundation course will be regularized only when you clear Class XII exams.

Question-9: I’ve filled the registration form but payment cannot be made. How to make payment for CA Foundation Registration.?
Answer: You need to visit same official website i.e. eServices.icai.org and make your due payment of registration fee after login to your account.
