Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following essential qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree in Physics (or related discipline) with a minimum of 60% marks.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) with a minimum of 65% marks.

Desirable Skills:
To stand out, candidates should ideally have coursework or experience in:

  • Physics: Atomic physics, Quantum optics.
  • Engineering: Electronics, Analog/Digital systems, Microprocessors, Optics.
  • Exams: Qualification in GATE, NET, JEST, or TIFR entrance tests is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on: Experience with electronics, microprocessors, or optical setups.

Job Responsibilities

Selected candidates will not just be observing; they will be building. Key tasks include:

  • Designing optical setups for laser cooling of atoms.
  • Developing control circuits and populating PCBs for laser electronics.
  • Setting up Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems.
  • Recording and analyzing data from vapor cell and ultracold atom setups.
  • Documenting results and preparing scientific reports.
