Follow these simple steps to check your qualifying status:
- Visit the official Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) website: www.licindia.in.
- Navigate to the “Careers” section on the homepage.
- Click on the link for “Recruitment of AAO (Generalists/ Specialists/ Assistant Engineers) 2025”.
- Find and click on the link for the “Result of Preliminary Examination” for your respective post (Generalist, Actuarial, Legal, etc.).
- The result PDF, which is the merit list of qualified candidates, will open.
- Use the ‘Ctrl + F’ (or Command + F on Mac) function and enter your Roll Number to quickly check if you have qualified for the Mains examination.

What’s Next? LIC AAO Mains Exam
Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Prelims result are now eligible to appear for the LIC AAO/AE Mains Exam 2025, which is scheduled for 8th November 2025 (Saturday).
The selection process is based on three phases:
- Preliminary Examination (Qualifying)
- Mains Examination
- Interview
The final selection will be determined by the combined marks obtained in the Mains Examination and the Interview. The Mains exam includes both an Objective Test (300 marks) and a Descriptive Test (25 marks, qualifying only for English/Legal drafting).
