Selection Process: The 30-Mark System
The selection will not be based on a new written exam but rather on the candidate’s past service record. A merit panel will be prepared based on a total of 30 Marks, derived from two key performance indicators from the 3 years preceding superannuation.
1. Physical Attendance (15 Marks)
Marks are awarded for attendance in each of the 3 years prior to retirement (5 marks per year).
2. Annual Confidential Report (ACR) (15 Marks)
Similarly, the candidate’s ACR grades for the last 3 years determine the remaining marks:
- Outstanding / Excellent: 5 Marks per year
- Very Good: 3 Marks per year
Tie-Breaking Rule:
In case two candidates secure equal marks, preference will be given in the following order:
- Higher marks in ACR.
- Younger in age (Date of Birth).
- Junior in appointment (Date of Appointment).
