What’s Next? Preparing for the BPSC Mains Examination

Qualifying for the Prelims is a significant achievement, but the real test is the Mains Examination, which is subjective (written) and highly competitive. The final selection and merit ranking depend entirely on the total marks scored in the Mains and the Interview (Personality Test).

Candidates who find their roll numbers in the result PDF should not delay their preparation. The next step is to immediately shift focus to the Mains syllabus, which includes:

  • General Hindi (Qualifying)
  • General Studies Paper I
  • General Studies Paper II
  • Optional Subject (One Subject)
  • Essay

Pro Tip: Start practicing answer writing for all the subjective papers. Focus heavily on Bihar-specific general knowledge, current affairs analysis, and detailed coverage of all topics outlined in the Mains syllabus. Stay alert for the BPSC official notification regarding the Mains application process, schedule, and exam centers.

The journey is long, but with sustained effort, the dream of joining the esteemed administrative services of Bihar is well within reach!
