CA Intermediate Corporate and Other Laws weightage 2024: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued updated and revised Section-wise Weightage for CA Intermediate Paper-2 Corporate and Other Laws applicable for September 2024 and subsequent exams till further changes are made.

Chapter wise marks distribution for CA Intermediate Sept 2024. Weightage of Marks for CA Intermediate Paper-2 Corporate and Other Laws. ICAI published skill-wise and section wise weightage for Corporate and Other Laws subject of CA Intermediate course.

The Board of Studies (BoS) of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) has now assigned weightage of marks to various sections of Paper-2 subject. This facility would help students to plan their studies in a structured manner for the coming ICAI Corporate and Other Laws examinations.

Accordingly, each subject has been divided into various topics and topics have been grouped into sections and weightage range has been assigned to these sections. The question paper-2 would take into consideration the weightage range assigned to different sections.

Here is the weightage of marks for CA Intermediate subject Paper 2 i.e. Corporate and Other Laws. Following are the detail chapter wise and section wise weightage of marks assigned to Corporate and Other Laws paper. This analysis will be applicable for CA Intermediate course examination to be held in September 2024 onwards under New Scheme of Education and Training.

PART-I: Company Law and LLP Law (70 Marks)

Section-I (Weightage 20%-30%) i.e. 15-20 Marks

The Companies Act, 2013 including important rules and drafting of notices, resolutions etc.–

  1. Preliminary
  2. Incorporation of Company and Matters Incidental thereto
  3. Prospectus and Allotment of Securities
  4. Share Capital and Debentures

Section-II (Weightage 20%-30%) i.e. 15-20 Marks

  1. Acceptance of Deposits by Companies
  2. Registration of Charges
  3. Management and Administration

Section-III (Weightage 30%-35%) i.e. 20-25 Marks

  1. Declaration and Payment of Dividend
  2. Accounts of Companies
  3. Audit and Auditors
  4. Companies Incorporated Outside India

Section-IV (Weightage 15%-20%) i.e. 10-15 Marks

The Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 including important Rules

PART-I: Other Laws (30 Marks)

Section-I (Weightage 35%-40%) i.e. 10-12 Marks

The General Clauses Act, 1897: Important Definitions, Extent and Applicability, General Rules of Construction, Powers and Functionaries, Provisions as to Orders, Rules, etc. made under Enactments and Miscellaneous Provisions.

Section-II (Weightage 25%-30%) i.e. 6-9 Marks

Interpretation of statutes: Rules of Interpretation of Statutes, Aids to Interpretation, Rules of Interpretation/Construction of Deeds and Documents.

Section-III (Weightage 30%-40%) i.e. 9-12 Marks

The Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999: Significant definitions and concepts of Current and Capital Account Transactions.
