About the Project: Shaping India’s Net Zero Future

The selected candidate will join the project titled “Policy Interventions for Net Zero Lessons from Global Experiences.”

As India accelerates its transition toward renewable energy and carbon neutrality, regulatory frameworks and policy interventions are critical. This project aims to analyze global best practices and their applicability to the Indian power sector. It is an ideal role for individuals passionate about sustainability, climate policy, and energy economics.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet one of the following academic and professional benchmarks:

Option A (Engineering Background):

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Power, or Energy Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the power sector, power systems, or renewable energy domain.
  • Preference: Candidates with a strong understanding of the regulatory and policy aspects of the Indian power sector.

Option B (Postgraduate Background):

  • Education: Postgraduate degree (Master’s in Science, Policy, Economics, or related fields).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the power system, power sector, or renewable energy.
  • Preference: Familiarity with Indian power sector regulations is highly desirable.

Salary & Benefits

  • Pay Scale: The consolidated salary is in the range of ₹25,900 – ₹2,100 – ₹63,700 per month.
  • Incentives: Exceptional candidates with higher qualifications or relevant experience may be considered for a higher starting salary as per IITK rules.
  • Term: The post is purely temporary and contractual, following IITK DORD norms.

Selection Process
