Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) admission for UG, COP, PG, PhD and ADOP programmes for Academic Year 2023-24. This year the university has opted for CUET for admission to undergraduate programmes.

The candidates shall be considered for admission to the following programmes:-
Ph.D., M.Tech., MPH., PGD, M.A., M.Sc., MCA, MBA, B.Tech.+M.Tech./MS, B.A. (Hons.) 1st year in Foreign Languages, B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated programme and Part-Time courses.

Admission in JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) for the Academic Year 2023-24 shall be done through CUET (UG) 2023. Registration forms are available online for admissions in UG and COP Programmes.

You may apply for B.A. (Hons.) in Foreign Languages, B.Sc.-M.Sc. Integrated Programme in Ayurveda Biology and Certificate of Proficiency Programmes of Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Admission in B. Tech. Programme of Jawaharlal Nehru University for the Academic Year 2023-24 will be through JEE Mains (JoSAA/DASA).

JNU UG Admission 2023-24

JNU UG admission 2023: JNU began the registration process for admission to its undergraduate programmes through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Candidates can apply for undergraduate programmes at university through official website of JNU Entrance Examination (www.jnuee.jnu.ac.in).

Candidates will be admitted to first year of B.A. (Hons.), B.Sc. and Certificate of Proficiency Programmes through Central University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] 2023 to be conducted by NTA.

JNU UG Admission Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria: Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University with minimum of 45% marks. The candidates who are due to appear in Senior School Certificate (10+2) or equivalent examination are eligible to apply.

As per e-prospectus for the academic year 2023-24, The entrance test for B.A. (Hons.) is a common test for all languages. Candidates seeking admission to B.A. (Hons.) in JNU should have appeared for CUET (UG) 2023.

They are required to opt for Section IA – English Test (Code 101) and Section III – General Test (501) for the admission in JNU. Candidates who have not appeared in both the Sections, i.e. Section IA (English Test) and Section III (General Test), will not be considered for admission in JNU.

JNU UG Admission Fee

The registration fee for candidates belonging to the general category, economically weaker section and OBC is ₹250 and ₹100 for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Disabilities. Foreign nationals will have to pay ₹2,392 for registration.

The fee is to be submitted through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/Paytm Services.

Procedure for Online Submission of Application Form

No viva voce examination will be held for admission to B.A., B.Sc. and COP programmes. The candidates are admitted on merit on the basis of their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT) and the deprivation points added to their score in accordance with the approved Admission Policy and Procedures of the University.

How to Apply for JNU Admission 2023: You may follow the following steps to fill up submit online application form for registration in JNU UG programmes for academic year 2023-24.

Step-1 (Registration for Online Application Form):

First of all visit official website of JNU Entrance Examination at jnuee.jnu.ac.in and navigate admission page under Important Links from right sidebar.

Thereafter, if you already registered, then click on the SIGNIN. First time user, please click on the NEW REGISTRATION.

Candidates can login with their CUET-UG Application Number and Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY) as Password.

The candidate should supply all the details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create PASSWORD and choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer. After successful submission of the personal details, Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future correspondence.

Step-2 (Complete the Application Form):

Candidate can login with the CUET-UG Application Number and created Password for completing the Application Form.

Step-3 (Upload Photograph and Signature):

Upload the correct latest Photograph (coloured or black/white) and Signature as the facility for correction in images will not be given.

  • Size of scanned latest photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
  • Size of scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.

Step-4 (Pay Examination Fee):

The candidate has to select Debit or Credit Card/ Net Banking/ Paytm services option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee.

After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page.

JNU PG Admission 2023-24

JNU offers full-time PG (Post Graduate) courses under Arts, Science, and Management, and Engineering disciplines for the academic year 2023-24. The PG courses offered by JNU are MA, M.Sc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech, and MPH for a duration of 2 years.

The basic eligibility criteria for Post Graduate courses is to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Selection for most of the courses will be based on scores obtained in the CUET PG examination.

JNU PG Eligibility Criteria

The following are the course-specific qualifying criteria and the subject combinations that candidates must choose for the CUET:

JNU PG Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to MA, M.Sc, MCA, MPH, and M.Tech programs are required to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) conducted by NTA. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the university on the basis of CUET PG marks.

Admission to MBA is granted on the basis of CAT scores. Admission to M.Sc in Biotechnology and M.Sc in Computational Biology Programs is based on the GAT-B scores.
