Step 3: Pay the Registration and Security Fees

Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit online (via Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card). The fee structure is dependent on the type of seat (AIQ/Deemed) and the candidate’s category.

💡 Key Counselling Rules and Tips

  • Four Rounds: The MCC conducts counselling in four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. Fresh registration and choice filling are generally required for specific rounds.
  • All India Quota (AIQ): The MCC is responsible for counselling for the 50% AIQ seats, all Central/Deemed Universities, and ESIC/AFMS institutes.
  • State Quota: Counselling for the remaining 50% of State Quota seats is conducted by the respective State Counselling Authorities. Candidates must track both the MCC and their State’s official websites.
  • The Power of Choice Filling: Your choices are the single most important factor. Research institutions and specialties thoroughly and list your preferences in descending order of desirability (most preferred first). Any seat allotment will be based strictly on your merit rank and the choices you provide.

Disclaimer: All candidates must regularly check the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in for the latest and most accurate updates, schedule releases, and information bulletins. Reliance on third-party sources is strictly discouraged.
