Choosing Your Centre
Candidates must follow these guidelines when selecting their exam centre:
- Option-i (Mandatory): Candidates are mandatorily required to choose any of the cities listed under Option-i. In the normal course, the candidate will be allotted the city they have opted for in Option-i.
- Option-ii (Optional): Choosing an Option-ii city is NOT mandatory. If a minimum of 25 candidates opt for a specific Option-ii centre, those candidates will be allotted that Option-ii centre ONLY.
- No Change of Centre: No change of centre shall be permitted once the option is selected.
- ICAI’s Right to Allot: ICAI reserves the right to cancel a centre and allot candidates to another centre/city if the number of candidates is not adequate or if there are other restrictions.
ICAI is encouraging the digital ecosystem by conducting the CBT in 20 new cities in March and April 2026 to empower IT initiatives in smaller Indian cities.
