Eligibility Criteria

General Conditions for all applicants:

  • Residency: Only students residing in Delhi are eligible to apply. Proof of Delhi residence is mandatory.
  • Common Admission Test (CAT-II): All applicants in this round must appear for CAT-II. Admission decisions will be based on performance in this test.

For Class 10 Admission: The applicant must have passed Class 9 from a recognized school as a regular student during the 2024-25 academic session.

For Class 12 Admission:

  • The applicant must have passed Class 11 from a recognized school during the 2024-25 academic session.
  • Minimum Marks in Class 10: Class 10 marks must meet the minimum percentage criteria for the stream the student wishes to pursue.
    • Science (with Maths): 55% in Science, 50% in English, 50% in Standard Maths/Maths.
    • Science (without Maths): 55% in Science, 50% in English, 40% in Standard Maths/Maths or 45% in Basic Maths.
    • Commerce (with Maths): 50% in English, 50% in Standard Maths/Maths, 45% in Social Science, 45% in English.
    • Commerce (without Maths): 50% in English or 45% in Hindi, 45% in Social Science.
    • Humanities: Must have been declared Pass at the Secondary School Examination by CBSE or its equivalent board.
      • For opting Economics: At least 45% in Aggregate.
      • For opting Mathematics: At least 50% in Standard Mathematics/Mathematics.
    • NIOS Students: Students who passed Class 10 from NIOS with 55% marks or above in aggregate of 5 main subjects are eligible for admission in Humanities without Skill Subjects. Those with 50% or above in aggregate of 5 main subjects are eligible for Humanities with Skill Subjects.

Age Criteria (as on March 31, 2025):

Class 10: Completed 14 Years but less than 15 Years.

Class 12: Completed 15 Years but less than 17 Years.

Note: Age relaxation of up to 1 year for students who passed Class 10 from any recognized board with no gap year, and up to 6 months for other students, may be provided at the Head of School (HoS) level. For Divyang applicants, a relaxation of 6 months in the lower age and 4 years in the upper age is granted at the HoS level.

Common Admission Test (CAT-II) Pattern

The CAT-II is a written eligibility test with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) designed to assess readiness for Class 10 or 12.

  • For Class 10: The question booklet will consist of five subjects: English (20 marks), Hindi (20 marks), Science (20 marks), Social Science (20 marks), and Mathematics (20 marks).
  • For Class 12: Subject-wise question booklets will be provided based on the chosen stream.
    • Commerce Stream: English (25 marks), Maths (25 marks), Accountancy (25 marks), & Economics (25 marks). (Maths will not be considered for Commerce without Maths.)
    • Science Stream: English (25 marks), Maths (25 marks), Physics (25 marks), Biology (25 marks), & Chemistry (25 marks). (Maths will not be considered for Science without Maths, and Biology will not be considered for Science without Biology.)
    • Humanities Stream: English (25 marks), Hindi (25 marks), Pol. Science (25 marks), Economics (25 marks), History (25 marks), & Geography (25 marks).
    • Mandatory for Class 12: Attempt any one language along with other three elective subjects.
  • Passing Criteria: Students will be declared pass in CAT-II only if they secure a minimum of 33% marks in each of the subjects separately as well as in aggregate.

Relaxation in Marks

SC/ST/Minorities/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Kashmiri Migrants and National Games position holders: 5% relaxation in any one of the three subjects mentioned for admission in a particular stream of Class 12.

Specially Abled Students: 5% relaxation in all subjects mentioned for admission in a particular stream of Class 12.

Applicants will need to provide the following details and documents while filling the application form online or manually:

  • Last School Attended Details (if any).
