ICAI Nov 2023 Exam Eligibility Criteria: You should check whether you are eligible to appear in CA Nov 2023 exams or not before you submit ICAI examination application form. Know the detail course wise specific eligibility conditions for ICAI Nov 2023 exams are as under.

ICAI exam form for Nov 2023 shall be available from August 02, 2023. The last date for online submission of form with late fee examination application form is August 30, 2023.

Eligibility for CA Foundation Dec 2023 Exam

Eligibility criteria for the Foundation Examination to be held in Dec 2023: CA Foundation exam dates are 24th, 26th, 28th & 30th December 2023.

  1. Candidate should be registered in Foundation Course on or before 1st July 2023.
  2. Candidate is converted to from CPT to Foundation as on the date of filling the exam form.
  3. Candidate must have either
    • Passed 12th Standard from a recognized Board and his/her 12th Class MarkSheet must be uploaded in SSP; OR
    • Appeared in 12th Standard Board Exam from a recognized Board and his/her 12th Class Admit Card must be uploaded in SSP.

Eligibility for CA Intermediate Nov 2023 Exam

Eligibility criteria for the Intermediate Examination to be held in Nov 2023. CA Inter exam dates are Group-I: 2nd, 4th, 6th & 8th Nov 2023 and Group-II: 10th, 13th, 15th & 17th Nov 2023.

1. Through CPT/PE-I/Entrance/ Foundation

If you have registered for Intermediate based on having passed CPT/ PE-I/ Entrance/ Foundation: Eligibility requirement is 8 months study course as on first day of the month in which examination is to be held( Nov 1st, 2023) i.e. Registered on or before Cut off date, 1st March, 2023. Or;

If you have converted to Intermediate from IPCE/ Intermediate(IPC)/ Intermediate(Erstwhile)/ PE-II/ PCE: Eligibility requirement is 8 months study course as on first day of the month in which examination to be held (Nov 1st, 2023).

2A. Through Direct Entry (Graduates/Post Graduates)

  • If you have registered for or converted to Intermediate through Direct Entry (Graduates/ Post Graduates): Eligibility requirement is 9 months of articleship as on first day of the month in which examination is to be held (Nov 1st, 2023) i.e. commenced articleship on or before the cut off date, 1st February 2023.
  • If you have provisionally registered in the Intermediate Course till 31st January, 2023 through Direct Entry (Graduates/ Post Graduates) on account of non-declaration of result of final year of the graduation: Eligibility requirement is 7 months of articleship as on first day of the month in which examination is to be held (Nov 1st, 2023) i.e. commenced articleship on or before the cut off date, 1st April, 2023 after completing ICITSS.

Such Candidates are required to submit satisfactory proof of having passed the graduation examination with the minimum marks as provided in sub-regulation (4) of Regulation 28F before filling the examination form of November 2023 Intermediate course.

  • If you have registered for Intermediate (IPC) course through CPT route and appeared in the Intermediate (IPC) Examination in one or both groups but did not qualify both the group or either of groups and converted to Intermediate (IPC) under the Direct Entry Scheme and now converted to Intermediate: Eligibility requirement is commencement of articleship on or before the Cut off date, 31st October, 2023.

Or;

Candidate who registered for Intermediate course through CPT/FOUNDATION route and appeared in the Intermediate Examination in one or both groups but did not qualify both the group or either of groups and now converted to Direct Entry Scheme: Eligibility requirement is commencement of articleship on or before the Cut off date, 31st October, 2023.

2B. Through Direct Entry(Inter level pass of Company Secretaries of India or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India)

If you have registered for or converted to Intermediate by passing Inter level of Institute of Company Secretaries of India or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India: Eligibility requirement is 8 months of study course as on first day of the month in which examination to be held (Nov 1st, 2023) i.e. registered on or before Cut off date, 1st March, 2023.

Eligibility for CA Final Nov 2023 Exam

Eligibility criteria for the Final (New Course) Examination to be held in Nov 2023. CA Final exam schedule are Group -I: 1st, 3rd, 5th & 7th Nov 2023 and Group -II: 9th, 11th, 14th & 16th Nov 2023.

  • Candidates should have registered/ Converted for Final New Course.
  • The candidate must have completed prescribed period of 3 years or 3½ years, as the case may be, of articled training as on the date of filling the exam application form; OR,

The candidate must be due to complete the prescribed period of 3 years or 3½ years, as the case may be, of articled training including excess leave, if any, on or before 31th October, 2023, Or,

The candidate must be in service as on 01st May 2023 and serving the last twelve months of articled training including excess leave, if any, and due to complete 3 years on or before 31st October, 2024. (for PE-II stream student and PE-II stream students converted to IPCC/IIPCC), Or,

The candidate must be in service as on 01st Nov 2023 and serving the last six months of articled training including excess leave, If any, and due to complete 3½ years on or before 30th April, 2024 (for PCC stream student), Or,

The candidate must be in service as on 01st Nov 2023 and serving the last six months of training including excess leave, If any, and due to complete 3 years on or before 30th April, 2024. (for Intermediate/IPCC/IIPCE student). Or,

The candidate must be in service as on 01st Nov, 2023 and serving the last twelve months of training including excess leave, if any, and due to complete 3½ years articleship on or before 31st October, 2024. (for students converted from PE-II to PCC as well as students converted from PE-II to PCC and then to IPCC/IIPCE).

Candidates who have taken termination are advised to re register for the balance period of training so as to be in service as on 01st Nov 2023 and due to complete 3 years or 3½ years of training, as applicable (including excess leave taken, if any) on or before 30th April, 2024 or 31st October, 2024 as the case maybe.

  • Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS):

In terms of Regulation 29D(1)(iii) read with 51E/72E of the CA Regulations 1988, students under the New Scheme of Education and Training ( implemented with effect from 1st July 2017) are required to complete the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (Advanced ICITSS) successfully for being eligible to appear in the Final (New) Course Examination held under the syllabus approved by the Council under Regulation 31(iv) of the CA Regulations 1988, the next examination of which is to be held in Nov 2023.

Advanced ICITSS is a combination of Management & Communication Skills and Advanced IT Course, which is effective from 1st July, 2017 with the implementation of New Scheme of Education and Training. Candidates are required to undergo the Advanced ICITSS Advanced IT test, conducted by the Exam Dept. of ICAI, after completing the Advanced Information Technology component of the above mentioned course.

Further, it is hereby clarified that students who have undergone only one, i.e. either GMCS II or Advanced ITT under the Final (Old) course have to undergo the remaining component, i.e. Advanced ICITSS (IT) or Advanced ICITSS(GMCS-II). They are not required to undergo Advanced ICITSS (IT and MCS) in its entirety.

Candidates who have converted from Final Old Course to Final New Course but appeared at least once in the Final (old) Examination earlier, are not required to Complete Advanced ICITSS before appearing in Final Examination to be held in May 2023 but in any case, they are required to complete the Advanced ICITSS course before applying for the membership of the Institute.

The candidates are advised to check that the data on SSP is updated to meet these additional requirements.
