Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) is a private, nonprofit Christian university located in Nampa, Idaho. Established in 1913, NNU is founded upon a liberal arts philosophy of education. The university’s 90-acre campus is situated in Nampa, the third-largest city in Idaho, approximately 18 miles west of Boise, the state capital.

NNU offers over 60 baccalaureate degree programs, 11 master’s degree programs, a Ph.D. degree program, and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology. The university maintains a student-faculty ratio of 11:1, with 64.8% of its classes having fewer than 20 students.

For the 2025 undergraduate admissions cycle, prospective students can apply through NNU’s Application Management portal. Applicants are encouraged to create an account to start a new application or log in to continue an existing one. NNU Forensics Team Shines at Valentine Tournament

The Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) Forensics Team did an amazing job at the Valentine Forensics Tournament on February 14. They competed against nine other colleges and universities from Montana, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah, winning many top spots.

Outstanding Performances by NNU Students

  • Lily Walsh: Won first place in Novice IPDA Debate, received the top speaker award, and also took first place in Novice Persuasive Speaking.
  • Miya Ingram: Scored perfectly in Varsity Programmed Oral Interpretation, with all three judges giving her top marks.
  • Other Top Performers: Rhianna Soft, Brooklyn Hallett, Chris Pezzoni, Nathan Edmonds, and Gracie Ayer also performed well, helping NNU earn fourth place overall in the tournament.

Upcoming Competitions

Several team members, including Miya, Rhianna, Lily, Brooklyn, and Nathan, will compete at Christian Nationals on March 6, 2025 at Howard Payne University. You can watch these talented students perform at NNU’s Forensics Showcase Event on March 19, at 5:00 p.m.
