Application and Selection Methodology
Online Application Process
Eligible candidates must apply through Online mode. The Online Application Form will be available on the NRL website (www.nrl.co.in > Career > Online Application for Apprentice Trainee) from 10:00 hours of October 24, 2025, to 23:59 hours of November 17, 2025. No hard copy of the application will be accepted.
Mandatory Apprentice Registration
Prior registration as an Apprentice on the respective Government portals is mandatory before applying. The registration portals are:

Age and Diploma Eligibility Constraints
The minimum age for Apprenticeship training is 18 years as of the last date of receipt of applications (November 17, 2025). There is no upper age limit for the training.
For Diploma Engineering candidates, only those who passed the course between the years 2023 to 2025 are eligible to apply. This is because the Board of Practical Training (BoPT), Govt. of India, does not allow signing of the training contract after three years from the date of passing the Diploma Engineering course.
Selection Criteria and Finalization
Selection will be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The final selection is subject to the successful signing of the contract on the respective Government portals for the trade applied for.
