The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced that the Company Secretary (CS) examination applications in physical form will not be accepted for Dec, 2017 session examination. Accordingly, the physical exam form will be immediately rejected by the CS Institute without any prior notice.
This is because, the ICSI has gone online for all services related to students including Online Registration System for admissions/ registrations to Foundation, Executive and Professional Programme with effect from 1st January, 2014.
Therefore, you have to fill up and submit your CS Exam Forms online for December 2017 attempt of CS Foundation, Executive and Professional Programme Examinations.
That means you may now fill up and submit your exam form online without paying any transaction charges just like postage and demand draft charges, travelling cost etc. as these all charges will be borne by the CS Institute itself and you may also be able to save your valuable time etc.
Those students who have registered themselves for the CS Foundation Course/ CS Executive Course/ CS Professional Course can enroll in the course for the session any time after 6 months of the registration.
The last date for receipt of online examination enrollment application and payment of examination fees for appearing in CS Exams Dec, 2017 without late fee is Monday, 25th September, 2017 (25.09.2017). However, students appearing for CS Foundation/ CS Executive/ CS Professional Dec 2017 Exams may also submit exam form online with late fee of ₹250 on or before the last date i.e. 10th October, 2017 (10.10.2017) up to 12:00 midnight.

Follow these fast track steps to enroll yourself for CS Exams to be held in Dec 2017.
- First of all visit and login to the official website of ICSI for CS Foundation/Executive/Professional exam form Dec 2017.

Create Account with ICSI SMASH Portal to Submit CS Exam Form
If you are first time user/visitor i.e. you have not yet registered yourself for ICSI SMASH Portal for students, then follow these simple steps and get your password to apply online for CS Dec 2017 Exams.
- Click here to create your new account with ICSI SMASH Portal or get/reset password.
- Enter the required information like your CS Foundation Programme/ CS Executive Programme/ CS Professional Programme Registration number as user ID and verification code and then click on Submit button.
Get your New Registration Number:
If you have Old Registration Number and applied for the Denovo then please check your denovo status and get the New (DENOVO) Registration Number.
- In the open window enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth, Email address and Mobile Number and click on Submit button.
- Thereafter, you will receive One Time Password (OTP) to your mobile and Email ID. Enter that OTP and submit the same.
- In the open window enter your new password. Note that the new password need at least one Lowercase and at least one Special Characters and at least one Number.

How to apply online for CS Examinations Dec 2017
Before applying online for CS Exams, please clear web browsing data by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete from your keyboard. You may use any latest web browser but I recommend Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.
Step-1 (Visit Official Website):
Visit official website of ICSI Smash Portal i.e. smash.icsi.in or click the link given below and login using your valid user ID and password.
However, if you have forgot your ICSI Smash Portal password, please CLICK HERE to reset password.
Step-2 (CS Exam Enrollment Request):
After successful login, you will see the welcome screen. You have to navigate EXAMINATION ENROLLMENT REQUEST under the sub menu ENROLLMENT from main header menu MODULE.

Step-3 (Add Enrollment Request):
Click on the “Add Enrollment Request” button to open the enrollment form. However, if enrollment form does not open, please ensure that you have allowed pop-up for your browser. In other words, enable popup window of the web browser.
Step-4 (Fill up CS Exam Form Online):
Now, select enrollment request type viz. Enrollment Request, Addition of Module, Deletion of Module, Inter Change of Module, Center Change and Medium Change.
Thereafter, fill up the exam form by providing basic details like Medium, Module and Exam Center etc. Then, click the next button.
Please, review all the selected information in the enrollment form before clicking on the Next button. This is because, any later changes will be allowed up to certain stipulated dates and additional fee (varies from time to time) will be levied for all such changes. You may also change your photo and signature before next step.
Step-5 (CS Exam Fee Details):
You have to provide training details (if any) and select declaration check box. Read the agreement and check the agreement checkbox (if agree) and then click on “Next” button on Fee Detail screen.
Then, click on next button to preview enrollment form. However, you will have option to go back and make any changes. In preview tab, click on the button “Confirm Application” after verifying the enrolment details.
Step-6 (Make Payment):
Select the Payment Gateway Service Provider (Billdesk, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, etc.) and click on the button “Next”.
That means confirm your application and make payment and to make payment of CS exam fee, select the payment mode and click on “Next” button to progress the payment and see the payment detail. After making successful payment, your request ID along with transaction ID shall automatically be created.
Step-7 (Payment Receipt):
Click on “Proceed” button to enter the payment detail, system will generate the payment receipt. Note that you have to retain the copy of the receipt for the examination fee remitted by you during the examination enrollment process.
Enter the Bank / Credit/ Debit Card details and click on the button “Make Payment” button. For all successful payments a Fee Receipt is instantly generated. You may also re-generate and print duplicate receipt at the following link by entering the Transaction Id.
Complete Enrollment Request: In case the enrollment process was not completed in one sitting then user can find the initiated enrollment form under Examination Enrollment Request screen, Search Result.

Note that all examination applications without a valid fee receipt shall be rejected without notice. In case the amount is deducted from the bank / debit/ credit card account but the acknowledgement is not automatically generated by the system, students may verify the status of payment from the following link by entering the Request Id and Transaction / Payment Id.
