ICAI CA Intermediate course registration is open through out the year. But you have to register yourself on or before the cut off dates. CA Intermediate exams are held thrice in a year i.e. January, May and September.
For appearing in January term of examination, you have to register on or before 1st May and admission shall be done on or before 1st September to appear in May session. Similarly, 1st January is the cut off date for CA Inter registration for appearing in September exam.
You have to complete eight months of study period after registration to CA Intermediate Course. Thereafter, you will be eligible for appearing CA Intermediate examinations.
Therefore, the last date of CA Intermediate registration is 1st May 2025 to be eligible for appearing in January 2026 examinations and 1st September 2025 is the last date for CA Inter registration for appearing in May 2026 examinations for foundation route students.
For Appearing in January 2026: Students who cleared Foundation level January 2025 exam result declared in March 2025 may register themselves for the Intermediate course on or before last date i.e. 01.05.2025 so as to appear in the January 2026 Intermediate examination. For Appearing in May 2026: To appear in the May 2026 CA Intermediate examination, you must have to register in CA Intermediate course on or before 1-September-2025 if you have passed CA Foundation result declared in May 2026.
For Appearing in September 2026: Students who have registered in Intermediate Course either through Foundation Route or Direct Entry Route up to 1st January 2026 are eligible for appearing in September 2026 Intermediate Examination.

Direct Entry Route: You may register yourself through Direct Entry till 1st September 2025/ 1st January 2026 and complete ICITSS and 8 months of study period to be eligible to fill up the examination form of CA Intermediate May 2026/ September 2026 respectively.
CA Intermediate Registration for JAN 2026 Exams
CA Intermediate Eligibility 2025:
You are eligible for registration in CA Intermediate course, if you have specified qualification. CA Foundation or CA CPT passed students are eligible for admission in CA Inter course. If you have graduation/ post-graduation degree then also you may take direct admission to CA Intermediate course. Admission through direct entry route is also available if you clear CS Executive exam or passed CMA Intermediate level of exams.
Candidates can register for the CA Intermediate course through two primary routes:
1. Foundation Route
- Candidates who have passed the CA Foundation Course conducted by ICAI are eligible.
- A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the CA Foundation exam is required.
2. Direct Entry Route
- Graduates and postgraduates from commerce stream with at least 55% marks or non-commerce stream with 60% marks can apply.
- Candidates who have passed the Intermediate level of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) can also register.

Fees of CA Intermediate Registration 2025: CA Intermediate registration fees is ₹15,000 for both Groups. Articleship registration and student activities fees are ₹1,000 and ₹2,000 respectively.
