The newly revised April 2023 Edition of study material released by CA Institute for ICAI May 2024 exams. The new edition of study material is also applicable for CA Foundation, CA Inter and CA Final May/Nov 2024 examinations.
ICAI is the premier professional accountancy body of the country, established in July, 1949 under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in order to provide updated Study Material at the door step of the CA Students has developed Centralized Distribution System (CDS). You may order ICAI online publications including study materials and mementos etc.
ICAI has developed CDS portal with the intention of providing study material to Newly Registered Students or students who converted to new syllabus at their door step. It also facilitates online selling of ICAI publications to Students, Members and other stakeholders. The new portal is available at https://icai-cds.org with option to cater to Members of CA Institute, registered students of ICAI and other stakeholders.
Student are allowed to login by their SRN i.e. Student Registration Number and date of birth. Whereas, valid mobile number and date of birth of members or others is required for login purpose. Through this system, students after completing registration of any level will get automatic notification (email/ SMS alert) regarding their login id and password.
Note that the ICAI students will get SMS alert only after their registration has been confirmed by the concerned Regional Office. They will not get alert immediately after the completion of the online filling of registration form. The students on icai-cds.org can track their dispatches and submit their feedback.
Accordingly, if you have registered or converted into new syllabus for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final courses then you need to login to https://icai-cds.org. You shall be on-boarded onto the portal for availing coupons facility by ICAI. Your credentials shall be emailed to you in due course.
This portal also offers on line sale of all saleable publications of ICAI. It provides the facilities like cart, search, my account and online payment for the users. For using this facility, one has to register on the portal.

Features of ICAI Central Distribution Scheme (CDS) Portal
CA Foundation Course student:
CA Foundation Students will be allotted one coupon. That coupon will get activated immediately after successfully login in your account on CDS portal. You may use that coupon for placing the order against your registration / conversion to CA Foundation course.
Allotted coupon will be valid only for a period of four months from the date of registration with ICAI. They can place their order through https://icai-cds.org and redeem the coupon. Therefore, you need not to pay for order material and courier charges.
However, once Coupon get exhausted, then you have to pay courier charges for next order of study material. Hence it is advisable to order complete set of material in single coupon.
CA Intermediate Course student:
ICAI student enrolling for CA Intermediate Course will be allotted one coupon each for Group I and Group II or two coupons for Both Group registrations. That allotted coupons shall automatically be activated at the moment you will login in your account on official ICAI CDS portal at ICAI-CDS.ORG.
Such allotted coupon/s is valid for a period of one year from the date of registration with ICAI. Therefore, you can place your order for the desired Study Materials through https://icai-cds.org and redeem the coupon/s.
Once you will utilised your activated Coupon, then you have to pay courier charges for next order of study material. Thus, you should order complete set of one group material in single coupon.
CA Final Course student:
ICAI student registering for CA Final Course will also be allotted two coupons for Both Group registrations. That coupons shall be activated in your account immediately after you will login on CDS portal. Note that allotted coupon/s is valid for a period of two years from the date of registration to CA Final Course.
You can place your order for desired Study Material through CDS portal at https://icai-cds.org and redeem the allotted coupon/s. Once Coupon get exhausted, then you have to pay only courier charges for next order you place for study material. Hence it is advisable to order complete set of one group material in single coupon.

How to order ICAI Study Material Online through CDS Portal
CA Foundation/ CA Intermediate/ CA Final students on successful registration to the course, they will be allotted coupon/s against their registration to the respective course. Foundation Course student will be allotted 1 coupon, Intermediate course student will be allotted 2 coupons (1 coupon for each group) and Final course student will be allotted 2 coupons.
Student needs to select the required study material either English or Hindi Medium (only in case of Foundation and Intermediate Courses) and redeem the allotted coupon on this portal to receive the study material from the Centralized Dispatch System.
Follow the below mentioned procedures step-by-step to get free of cost study material with free delivery for CA Foundation Course, CA Intermediate Course and CA Final Course:

- Choose appropriate course
- Select subjects or groups
- Coupon applied automatically for New students
- Order study material for free.
Step-1 (Visit ICAI CDS Portal):
First of all, log on to official website of ICAI CDS portal at https://icai-cds.org/
Step-2 (Choose Course):
Now, click on the Students menu from the top menu bar. Thereafter, select your course viz. Study Material Against Registration (New Course) or Study Material for Sale (All Course).
Step-3 (Select Subjects):
After choosing respective course e.g. CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final, you may select your subject/s and add them to cart.
Step-4 (Login and Apply Coupon):
View your cart by clicking on the basket button from the top right corner. Now, click on the proceed to checkout and login to your account to get your free coupon activated. CA student may login by using Student Registration Number (SRN) and date of birth or guests/members login by mobile number and date of birth.
If you are newly registered students of CA Foundation Course or CA Intermediate Course or CA Final Course your coupon shall be activated automatically into your account.
Step-5 (Make Payment):
Finally, apply your pre-activated coupon and proceed to pay. You will not be asked for any payment for your order of study material. However, if you are old student of CA Institute you have to pay the requisite amount/price of respective subject/s or group/s in addition to applicable courier charges.
Once your coupon utilised newly registered students only pay delivery charges whereas old students shall pay total price of study material along with the delivery charges. ICAI CDS portal also provide facility to track your order.
