The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts two times a year campus placement programme for newly qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) who have passed CA Final Exams and completed GMCS. In other words, ICAI Campus Placement Programmes held twice a year, i.e. in February-March as well as in August-September.
Newly Qualified CAs Salary March 2018
Today, we shall discuss about report of ICAI placement programme completed in the month of Feb-March 2018 Chartered Accountant salary per month. Recently, The Committee for Members in Industry & Business (CMI&B) of ICAI has organises Campus Placement Programmes Feb-March 2018 for Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants. The committee, as a matter of routine practice, organises Orientation Programme in all centres to sharpen the soft skills of candidates and to provide them technical updates.
In February-March placement 6,029 newly-qualified Chartered Accountants participated across the country. With participation of 130 organisations along with their 221 interview panels, 1,472 candidates got the job offer. Highest salary (cost to company) offered in the domestic-posting category was 22.30 lakh per annum, with average salary (cost to company) offered was 8.40 lakh per annum.
This term ICAI placement programme has been successfully organised in 22 centres in India. The name of 9 bigger centres are Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. Whereas, the name of 11 smaller centres are Baroda, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Durgapur, Ernakulum, Indore, Kanpur, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, Thane & Vasai. Candidates were eligible to take part interview in two centres, one smaller and another bigger. In case of being selected in a smaller centre, he/she is not allowed to participate in interviews held at bigger centres, subsequently.

In February-March 2018 campus placement programme total 3442 newly qualified CAs were appeared for interview. 1368 candidates have accepted the jobs out of 1473 job offered by the participating companies.
Chartered Accountant salary or income per month is ₹1.85 Lakh for as per report on ICAI Campus Placement Programme organised and successfully completed in February-March, 2018. Highest salary i.e. CTC offered for domestic posting is ₹22.30 Lakh per annum.
In accordance with the latest ICAI placement, the average salary of a Chartered Accountant is ₹8.40 Lakh Per Annum. In other words, a newly CA may get an average salary of ₹70 thousand per month in posting in India.
